Health is a state of wellbeing and is for everyone. It is a state of feeling comfortable and confident in your body, knowing it is possible to meet every day physical and emotional needs as well as feeling happy, positive and in balance.
Sometimes we take our health for granted, stresses of work, relationships, family life along with chaos and busy modern day life, poor diet along with bad habits and every day pollutants we take in, can take a huge toll in illness, stress related problems, along with other physical, mental and emotional issues.
A healthy balanced diet is the foundation of wellbeing – “You are what you eat” is not just a catchphrase… our bodies rely on essential nutrients to perform at an optimum level, so if our diet is not providing us with the adequate levels of all nutrients, we risk ill health.
I believe nutrition and exercise are the cornerstones of a healthy lifestyle. Regular exercise improves sleep, concentration and increases stamina. It can also fight against low mood and depression and it is vital for a relaxed life.
Achieving and maintaining general good health is an individual process, but I believe the following points are key:
1.Good quality healthy balanced diet, nourishing foods including where necessary the use of herbal remedies and alternative health products including vitamin and mineral supplements.
2.Balance of work, rest and play
3.Pure water and fresh air and time in nature and the elements
4.A toxin free or reduced use of toxins environment as much as possible
5.Regular exercise
