A must in my world…just wanted to share with you all how flaxseed oil (also known as linseed oil) has been such a help and key in my life. It has many positive benefits, some of which I’d like to share with you.
Flaxseed comes in 2 types, brown and golden (linseed), and many different forms too…ground, /milled, whole, capsule, liquid oil.
Flaxseed is the richest PLANT source of Omega 3 fatty acids (great for vegetarians and vegans) it has been associated with some of the following health benefits:

Flaxseed is LIKELY SAFE for most adults when taken by mouth, although stick to the recommended dosage otherwise too much might increase the number of bowel movements each day, which could cause gastrointestinal side effects such as bloating, gas, abdominal pain, constipation, diarrhoea, stomach ache, and nausea.
Why choose flaxseed oil...?
I first discovered how fabulous flaxseed oil was when I worked at Holland and Barrett, it is amazing for joints. I was suffering with painful and achy knees from constantly standing for hours on end during the working shifts and as I have never really enjoyed eating fish or using fish supplements, I knew following a vegetarian lifestyle that I was lacking Omegas in my diet at that time.
Organic pure flaxseed oil came into my life at exactly the perfect time and I love it (taste wise not great on its own) so I started to add it to my daily smoothie, and literally after 4 days I was feeling the difference. My knees had stopped making the terrible noises and creaking as I walked upstairs and the pain had reduced loads. It was pretty much instant relief and I have never looked back.
Not only great for joint care, it works in the body in other ways too - my hair has been in better condition too and there was one time I had not replaced my flaxseed supplies for around a month and my hair started to look thinner and my knees began to ache again during that time without it.
