Why its so important to protect our aura...
WHAT IS AN AURA?
The aura, or human energy field, is like a bubble of energy that surrounds every living thing. The aura has also been described as an electromagnetic energy field. Plants, animals, even the earth can be said to have an energy field.
The aura consists of seven levels/layers/auric bodies, also known as the physical, astral, lower, higher, spiritual, intuitional, and absolute planes.
At any given time, your aura emits a mixture of colours and light (it will never be just one colour), and each of these shades says a lot about how you're currently feeling.
PROTECTING YOUR AURA...
Whether you live in a city or you live close to nature, the most important sacred space you have, is the space you inhabit – in other words, your aura. Now, the thing is, we can choose what we bring in to this space or even allow to enter it. To do this however, we need to have respect for boundaries – our own, and to do whatever is necessary when these boundaries are crossed or invaded.
We all know some people can have a negative impact on our energy. This can be due to them being unnecessarily demanding, negative or impossible to please. These kinds of connections drain us and then there’s the more obvious ‘energy vampires’ who seem to take so much from us they leave us feeling depleted and sometimes take always all of our own confidence.
We are going to encounter these kinds of people throughout our lives and we need to keep our ‘sacred space’ (the energy field that surrounds us) replenished and strengthened so we can deal with them, whether this means cutting off contact with them completely or standing in our power and saying “NO” to them.
This comes back to boundaries. Boundaries not only keep you and your energy safe, they allow others the opportunity to grow and become more respectful when dealing with others. Boundaries allow you to communicate honestly but not hurtfully and allow you to come from a place of integrity which builds trust between you and others.
Here are some simple ways of strengthening your aura, keeping it bright, colourful and to ensure you remain happy, balanced and living a life of harmony:
Have fun and laugh a lot
Do lots of exercise and dance
Read inspiring books
Do a meditation which envisions you cleansing your aura
Listen to inspirational music and speakers
Do exciting and interesting things – get out of the rut
Meet new people
Think happy and positive thoughts
