DANDELION TEA
HOW & WHY IT CAN BENEFIT YOU BY DRINKING IT…

Dandelions are not just the bright yellow flowers that pop up during the warmer months in your lawn that many class as nuisance weeds…NOooooooooo…
Dandelions are a centuries old remedy for many different health concerns, today I am concentrating on the benefits of drinking the dandelion root tea and its positive effects …it also tastes pretty good too.
So here goes:
·Naturally Caffeine Free
Great if you are caffeine sensitive so you can drink it anytime day or night and it will not keep you awake like the caffeine options out there on the market.
·Protects the Liver
Dandelion contains potent antioxidants (molecules that help neutralise or prevent the negative effects of free radicals in your body – free radicals contribute to disease development and accelerated aging) so keep the liver and other vital organs functioning at their ultimate to keep body healthy as possible.
·Fights Cancer
Dandelion leaves are rich in phytonutrients as well as the antioxidants we just spoke about, therefore, can be highly effective in fighting and combating against cancer.
·UTIs (Urinary Tract Infections)
Dandelion tea is a diuretic so can help to clear, cleanse and regulate the urinary tract.
·Bone Health
Dandelions are rich in calcium content which is essential for growth and strength of bones.
·Kidney Cleansing
Dandelion contains potassium which can help to restore the mineral balance in the kidneys as it helps to flush away toxins.
·Weight Loss
The diuretic effects of the dandelion tea can also help to eliminate and shed water weight so helps to flush toxins and aid digestion. It helps to reduce bloating as well as cleanses the blood and liver of toxins so supports a healthy body weight.
·Reduces Inflammation
The antioxidants and other active compounds in the tea can over time help reduce pain and inflammation in body tissues.
·Brain Function
Dandelion is a rich source of Vitamin K, which is important for healthy functioning of the brain.
Why don’t you try it, it might help you change your mind if you are still thinking it’s just a garden weed!!!
I personally love the many benefits, especially for cleansing and detoxing purposes of the liver, urinary tract and kidneys. It also is a great soother if you have a sensitive stomach.
It can be served hot or cold. If you wish to try it slightly sweeter then add some organic honey or maybe try with a slice of lemon or orange.
I’d love to hear how you get on with the natural and wonderful dandelion beautiful ones xxx
