Do you use it?

There are many types of Sage but today I am concentrating on the benefits of burning WHITE SAGE. It is cost effective and a natural way to clean the air around you.
Otherwise known as a ‘Smudging Stick’ or ‘Smudging’ – used and practised in Feng Shui and very old ancient Native Indian traditions.
The benefits of burning white sage are as follows:

When sage is burned it releases negative ions, which are linked to putting people in a positive mood.
Burning sage has been used as a spiritual tool for healers and traditional cultures for many, many years to achieve a healing state or to clear unwanted ’spirit’ or negative ‘energies’ at home, living spaces, work or otherwise, therefore, “clearing your space”.
It is a great tool for group work especially healing modalities, meditation, and yoga. It can also be beneficial before sleep to encourage restful, happy, clear sleep.
It has been said it can:
-lift one’s mood
-reduce stress in the environment
-alleviate pain (as it is rich in compounds that activate certain receptors in the brain)
-boost memory and mental clarity
-improve intuition
Burning sage is one of the oldest and purest methods of cleansing a space, home, person or group of people of negative energy, bacteria, unwanted spirits, and it disinfects the air and this dates back to prehistoric times. I use it regularly at home and in my Haven to ensure a happy, clean and clear environment is achieved each and every day.
